It draws o n the recent book Undoing Nothing\, in conversation with a burgeoning lite rature on refugee biographical and housing pathways\, but also on the poli tical\, emotional and moral repertoires associated with home in representi ng them. Whether home is assumed as a concept\, a place\, or an object of memories\, aspirations and struggles\, it provides a powerful analytical p rism into any form of dwelling\, including those that fall below any stand ard of decent housing\, or of mainstream domesticity. The asylum center in which fieldwork was undertaken for this project is a case in point - a no n-home environment\, in which the significance and ambivalence of home can be appreciated in descriptive\, discursive\, practical\, reflexive and ex istential ways. This ultimately shows the promise of approaching home as a processual endeavour that conflates different agendas and interests\, bot h as a category of analysis and of practice.\n DTSTART:20251106T173000Z DTEND:20251106T190000Z LOCATION:Room 160\, Arts Building\, CA\, QC\, Montreal\, H3A 0G5\, 853 rue Sherbrooke Ouest SUMMARY:Undoing Nothing: Waiting for Asylum\, Struggling for Relevance URL:/arts-internships/channels/event/undoing-nothing-w aiting-asylum-struggling-relevance-367476 END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
