The inserted assemblies and the monolayer ma trices that contain them can be designed so as to interact directly\, to g ive stability or other properties to functional supramolecular assemblies. New families of highly symmetric molecules are being developed to yield e ven greater control and are enabling elucidation of the key design paramet ers of both the molecules and assemblies. These design elements\, in turn\ , enable controlled chemical patterning from the sub-nanometer to the cent imeter scales. We simultaneously develop metrology tools for these methods to give unprecedented insight on the structures\, function\, and properti es of these assemblies.\n DTSTART:20171114T180000Z DTEND:20171114T193000Z LOCATION:OM 10\, Maass Chemistry Building\, CA\, QC\, Montreal\, H3A 0B8\, 801 rue Sherbrooke Ouest SUMMARY:Chemical Society Seminar: Dr. Paul Weiss - Self-Assembly and Chemic al Patterning across Scale URL:/chemistry/channels/event/chemical-society-seminar -dr-paul-weiss-self-assembly-and-chemical-patterning-across-scale-282538 END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
