You are cordially invited to the 2025 Department of Family Medicine Annual Retreat!ÌýThe theme of this this year's virtual retreat is Connected by Care: Human and Digital Integration in Family Medicine andÌýwill be divided into two distinct half-days. We hope you can make it!

Event description:

  • Thursday, October 23 in the morning:

The first day of the retreat will celebrate the essential work of our rural teachers. The event will be organized by our Distributed Medical Education team and will highlight the unique value of rural teaching, followed by two engaging sessions to strengthen your teaching skills.Ìý

  • Friday, October 24 in the morning:

The second day of the retreat is the main Department event.Ìý We will have sessions focused on human and digital integration in Family Medicine including a choice of workshops.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Identify current opportunities and challenges in academic Family Medicine.
  2. Explain the principles of EDI, AI, and effective communicationÌýand how they can enhance healthcare delivery.
  3. Develop a vision for the future of Family Medicine at 91Ö±²¥, focusing on the integration of EDI, AIÌýand effective communication to drive innovative and inclusive healthcare practices.

This activity is accredited by the Office for Continuing Professional Development, School of Medicine, 91Ö±²¥, which is accredited by the Committee on Accreditation of Canadian Medical Education (CACME) of which the Collège des médecins du Québec (CMQ) is a partner.

This activity meets the certification criteria of the Quebec College of Family Physicians, a continuing professional development accrediting organization recognized by the Collège des médecins du Québec and has been approved for up to 6.25 Mainpro+® Certified Activity credits.

Members of the American Academy of Family Physicians are eligible to receive up to 6.25 prescribed credit hours for attendance at this meeting/event due to a reciprocal agreement with the College of Family Physicians of Canada.
