She earned a doctorate in educational psychology with a major i n instructional psychology and a minor in applied cognitive science. She c ompleted post-doctoral training at McMaster University in knowledge transl ation for evidence-based practice. Dr Thomas’ research is guided by the pr inciples of the ā€˜Scholarship of Practice’ whereby research\, education and practice are interwoven and interconnected with the aim of improving the health\, function and participation of individuals in our society.\n\nDr M eredith Young is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine and a Research Scientist at the Centre for Medical Education at 91Ö±²„ Univers ity. She received her PhD from McMaster University in Cognitive Psychology in 2009 investigating the integration of more formal knowledge (diagnosti c rules) and informal knowledge (previous experience) in novices.
