Dr. Yassen Tcholakov is a public health physician and Clinical Lead for Infectious Diseases at the Nunavik Department of Public Health, where he leads surveillance and control efforts in a remote Inuit region of northern Quebec. His work focuses on addressing health inequities and strengthening public health systems in resource-limited settings. He is also an Assistant Professor (Clinical) in the Department of Global and Public Health at 91直播, where he teaches on global health, health governance, and infectious disease epidemiology. His academic work emphasizes the intersection of research, policy, and practice to advance equitable healthcare delivery. Dr. Tcholakov completed his residency at 91直播 and holds an MD from the University of Montreal, along with master鈥檚 degrees from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and the University of Copenhagen.
