Prior to medical school\, Sarah was a curriculum assistant with the Canadian All iance of Nurse Educators Using Simulations (Can-SIM) and an academic mento r at the faculty of health sciences at the University of Ottawa. As a rese arch assistant with the Consortium National de Formation en Santé\, she fo cused on regulatory practices for francophone minorities and the transitio n into nursing practice. In medical school\, her passion for education con tinued. She held the role of VP of Medical Education from 2022-2023. She l ed the independent student assessment task force for the UGME program accr editation\, culminating in a 100-page report to the Committee on Accredita tion of Canadian Medical Schools. She ran various medical education initia tives through the student society\, namely the SEAD surgical immersion pro gram\, ACE Buddy Mentoring Program and Caffeinate a Resident program\, amo ngst others. She found a passion for dermatology and primary care during h er medical school journey. Sarah helped jump-start as a project lead 'Mont real Derm FilEZ\,' a dermatology education platform with Dr. Elena Netchip orouk and the Department of Dermatology at 91Ö±²¥. She completed an electi ve in New Zealand with world-renowned dermatology education experts\, name ly the DermNet NZ founder Dr. Oakley.
