 This seminar will explore ways of thinking about and determining processes
  for constitutional design in divided societies. In doing so\, it will dra
 w on a range of cases in which constitutional transition is presently ongo
 ing\, many of which have been affected by conflict. It will draw a contras
 t between these and other states in which change is proposed in relatively
  peaceful circumstances\, of which Canada and Australia are examples.\n\nC

 d comparative public law\, including comparative constitutional law and me
 thod\, intergovernmental relations and constitutional design and change. S
 he is a President Emeritus of the International Association of Constitutio
 nal Law\, a former President of the International Association of Centres f
 or Federal Studies\, a former President of the Administrative Review Counc
 il of Australia and a senior technical advisor to the Constitution Buildin
 g program of International IDEA. She has held visiting positions in law sc
 hools in many parts of the world and is an officer of the Order of Austral
 ia and a Chevalier de l'Ordre national de la Légion d’honneur of France.\n
