Hamidpour is a mechanical engineer with more than ten years of combined academic and industrial experience in exp erimental mechanics\, numerical modelling\, and advanced composite/ceramic manufacturing. He is currently a Researcher at the National Research Coun cil Canada and a Research Assistant at the Concordia Center for Composites \, where he develops and tests 4D‑printed composite and resin‑derived cera mic structures​. Earlier\, he was a Visiting Researcher in the LM2 Laborat ory at Polytechnique Montréal\, pioneering the use of Digital Image Correl ation (DIC) to quantify fracture processes in viscoelastic polymers​.
