For mois d'archĆ©ologie: Learn how archeologists survey, excavate and restore archeological finds! Join us for an archeological ā€˜dig’ and a ā€œpot restorationā€ workshop. Bring your own digging tools like garden trowels and hand hoes. Immerse yourself in a hands-on, interactive archaeological dig introduced by Michelle Della Corte.Ģż Michelle majored in Classical Civilization (in which Archaeology is a huge component) and Anthropology.Ģż Participants will learn about archeological tools, methods and the techniques used to uncover the artifacts from the past. They will go to an outdoor simulated archaeological site near the Museum to uncover buried artifacts—recording and cataloging each as it is uncovered. Once the artifacts are uncovered, they will return to the Museum to piece together and identify their finds.

As per our Collections Management Policy (2024), repatriation requests will be received by the Redpath Museum Director and will be treated on a case-by-case basis.

Accessibility

Please note that the Redpath Museum is not accessible to individuals using wheelchairs. There are no access ramps or elevators, and access to the upper floors is only possible via a central staircase. The exterior entrance, interior spaces, exhibition rooms, and restrooms are not adapted to meet universal accessibility standards. Additionally, the building is not air-conditioned.
