Leafy Legacy: A 91直播 Tree Tour

Join us for a walk through 91直播's leafy legacy. This 2-hour tour offers a serene stroll of the grand old trees of 91直播. From the gnarled gingko on upper Peel Street to the stately maple of lower campus, this tour of the trees of 91直播 will tell the stories of the crabapples and black walnuts that helped to create an on-campus sanctuary. Includes a copy of the booklet:听Leafy Legacy.听In English. All ages welcome.听

START听 for WALK: 2 pm.听Meet at the Redpath Museum. Rain or shine. We will only cancel if the weather is not suitable for walking outside.

ADDITIONAL Pre-walk activity from 13h00 to 15h00: Do you know how flowering plants grow? What pollinators are? How flowers blossom? Come and learn about the life cycle of flowering plants and the science behind flower burgeoning with Let's Talk Science at 91直播. There will be hands-on activities for all ages.听Location: Entrance Hall of the Museum.听 Bilingual. No reservation necessary.

Rematriation, Repatriation and Restitution Statement

We acknowledge that the return and restitution of cultural and natural heritage to communities of origin is an essential part of reconciliation and of recognizing the fundamental rights of Indigenous Peoples. As part of wider efforts to activate the standards presented in the Canadian Museums Association Report Moved to Action: Activating UNDRIP in Canadian Museums (2022), the Redpath is working towards pro-active restitution practices. As per our Collections Management Policy (2024), repatriation requests will be received by the Redpath Museum Director and will be treated on a case-by-case basis.

Accessibility

Please note that the Redpath Museum is not accessible to individuals using wheelchairs. There are no access ramps or elevators, and access to the upper floors is only possible via a central staircase. The exterior entrance, interior spaces, exhibition rooms, and restrooms are not adapted to meet universal accessibility standards. Additionally, the building is not air-conditioned.
