DESCRIPTION:Speaker: Dr. Reitan Ribeiro\, MD\n\nDr. Reitan Ribeiro is an in
 ternationally recognized gynecologic and surgical oncologist\, best known 
 for developing the uterine transposition technique\, a fertility-preservin
 g procedure that temporarily relocates the uterus and ovaries outside the 
 radiation field in patients undergoing pelvic radiotherapy. This novel app
 roach is transforming care for young women with pelvic malignancies\, and 
 Canada's first dedicated clinic for uterine transposition is currently bei
 ng established under his leadership.\n\nDr. Ribeiro is an Assistant Profes
 sor in the Departments of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Oncology at 91Ö±²¥ U
 niversity and a Gynecologic Oncologist and Surgical Oncologist at the Ceda
 rs Cancer Center\, 91Ö±²¥ Health Centre. In addition to his cli
 nical work\, he leads an active research program focused on surgical innov
 ation\, minimally invasive techniques\, and high-impact clinical trials.\n
 \nHe has played key roles in several influential studies\, and is deeply c
 ommitted to surgical education and international mentorship. In recognitio
 n of his contributions\, Dr. Ribeiro was awarded the Outstanding Achieveme
 nt in Gynecologic Oncology Surgery Award by the International Society of G
 ynecologic Oncology in 2025. His other accolades include the National Medi
 cal Treatment Innovation Award (VEJA)\, an Honorable Mention from the Cham
 ber of Deputies of Paraná (Brazil)\, and the Best Video Award from the Soc
 iety of Gynecologic Oncology (SGO).\n\nDr. Ribeiro completed his medical d
 egree at the Federal University of Porto Alegre (Brazil)\, followed by res
 idencies in General Surgery and Surgical Oncology\, and specialized traini
 ng in Gynecologic Oncology at Erasto Gaertner Hospital\, where he later se
 rved as Research Director of the Gynecologic Oncology Division.\n\n\nZoom
