Bilingual Comprehension Study
The 91Ö±˛Ą Language & Multilingualism Lab is looking for English/French bilinguals, aged 18-35! This study is completed 100% online, over two sessions. Participants are asked to read and rate a variety of sentences in English and French, and rate them on a variety of metrics.
- Duration: 1.5-2 hours
- Compensation: $15 hour
- Eligibility: English-French or French-English bilinguals with no strong third language, and no history of cognitive, neurological, or attentional impairments.

Are you an English-speaking white Canadian parent with a child aged 3 to 5 attending a French preschool in the Montreal area?
The Child Phonology Laboratory at 91Ö±˛Ą is doing research on how parents share and read books with their preschool-aged children. We are currently seeking parents who:
- Identify as Canadian of white/European descent
- Their first language is English and speak English at home
- Have a child aged 3 to 5 that is currently attending a fully French OR French Immersion daycare, prématernelle, maternelle 4, maternelle 5 or CPE in the Montréal area
This study involves a one-on-one, in-person interview to discuss your experiences and perspectives on sharing and reading books with your child. The interview is approximately 60 minutes and can take place in your home or another convenient location in the Montreal area like the Child Phonology lab at 91Ö±˛Ą, cafĂ©, mall, etc. Your input will help researchers better understand how families engage with books and support early literacy to develop better literacy tools. As a thank-you for your time and insights, you will receive a $25 gift card.

Playing simple rhythms in groups
Are you a musician with at least 6 years of formal training on a musical instrument (excluding percussion)?
Would you like to learn about how people coordinate in groups?
We are seeking musicians to play simple rhythms with other participants in quartets. The study takes about 120 minutes and participants receive up to $40 ($10 for participation in a 30-minute solo task on day 1 and $30 for participation in a 60-minute quartet task on day 2). Participants must be 18-35 years of age, have at least 6 years of private instrument training (excluding percussion), and must not have any diagnosed hearing problems to participate.

Study on language and perception with babies
Our new study asks... Will babies crawl towards a voice speaking their mother tongue? We are using a new device that allows babies to show off their crawling skills– at any age!

Le laboratoire de neurolinguistique de l’École des sciences de la communication humaine (91Ö±˛Ą) est Ă la recherche de participants qui ont le français comme langue maternelle et qui ont diffĂ©rents niveaux de connaissance de l’anglais (de minimal Ă avancĂ©) pour diverses Ă©tudes Ă©lectroencĂ©phalographiques. Les principaux critères de sĂ©lection pour les Ă©tudes sont les suivants:
- Avoir le français comme langue maternelle ;
- Avoir une certaine connaissance de l’anglais (de minimale à avancée) ;
- Ne pas être capable d’avoir une conversation dans une troisième langue (ok connaissance de base) ;
- Être âgé de 18 à 40 ans ;
- ĂŠtre droitier ;
- Ne pas avoir reçu de diagnostic de troubles du langage ou d’apprentissage, ni de troubles neuropsychologiques ;
- Avoir une audition normale.

Etude en ligne sur des personnes célèbres
Le laboratoire du Dr Maxime Montembeault recrute des participants pour une étude en ligne sur des personnes célèbres! Dans cette étude, vous serez présenté avec plusieurs noms et photographies de célébrités, et vous devrez répondre à des questions les concernant. Seeking healthy controls for study on aphasia
We are seeking participants aged 18 to 80 whose first language is English and who have lived in Quebec for 75% of their life. This study involves one online session of approximately one hour. No travel required, complete at home at your convenience! Participants will be asked to complete the questionnaires provided online. Compensation will be offered.
