New Paid Opportunity: Experiential Learning Student Partner

The Lewtas Office of Experiential Learning is launching a new Experiential Learning (EL) Attestation—a co-curricular program that helps students develop the transferrable skills they need to thrive in their courses and beyond. We’re looking for student partners who want to share their knowledge and enthusiasm for a project that enhances student learning and career readiness! This paid opportunity lasts for one academic year, from Fall 2025 through Winter 2026. Applications open soon!

Details

This opportunity has two parts:

LEARN: First you will attend 3 in-person workshops between to learn how to design and develop workshops. The workshops will take place from 9:30 to 11:30 am on October 31st, November 14th, and January 16th. They will cover the following topics:

  • Workshop Design
  • Online Content Development & Teaching
  • Skills Development

APPLY: You will then take what you have learned in the workshops to design and develop your own workshop on a transferable skill related to one of the following themes:

  1. Communication
  2. Self-assessment and reflection
  3. Career planning
  4. Teamwork
  5. Project Management

You’ll work in pairs build these workshops between January and April. The entire cohort will meet monthly to provide support and feedback as you develop your workshops, in addition to regular check-ins with the Lewtas office. The finished workshops will be shared with Desautels students in May 2026.

Compensation

This position pays $20 hour and will include approximately 35-45 total hours of work. Between January 2026 and May 2026, you will be expected to work approximately 3-5 hours per week.
