U-FMG Jardins Roussillon is located in the Châteauguay region on Montreal's South Shore, close to the Anna Laberge Hospital. We are a 91Ö±²¥-accredited French-language teaching center, which opened its doors in 2009. Each year, we welcome 16 residents (including 8 new residents), 24 clerks (1-2 per month) and 2 nurse practitioner trainees.

Our residents are guided and supervised by more than twenty experienced teaching family physicians. Over 80% of the curriculum is taught or supervised by family physicians. Residents also have the opportunity to experience a hospital setting where the family physician provides care from start to finish. The absence of specialty residents allows greater access to technical facilities and fosters a quality relationship with specialists who understand the concerns and prerogatives of family medicine.

We are a dynamic team of professionals and doctors with varied expertise who work together in a very friendly, family-oriented atmosphere.

Facilities and Resources

  • Facilities: We've been in new premises since 2023! We now have 2 floors of office space and 1 full floor dedicated to a lunchroom and space for working and videoconferencing.

Community and Engagement

  • The U-FMG Jardins-Roussillon is part of the , which serves a population of over 200 000 spread over an area of 1 200 km2 in western Montérégie. This vast territory stretches from the U.S. border (Lacolle) to the far west (Huntingdon), passing through Laprairie in the east and the Mohawk community of Kahnawake near Châteauguay. The population served is highly diverse, both socio-economically and culturally. In addition to Kahnawake, both highly urbanized areas and rural/agricultural zones are close by.
